POSITION SUMMARY
Budapest Marriott Hotel welcomes you to Hungary's capital city with modern style and exceptional service and an unbeatable location on the Danube. Receive, document, and separate soiled linens, terry, uniforms, and/or clothing. Identify stained or damaged items. Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals, and cleaning lint traps. Apply treatment to stained items. Press and fold cleaned articles. Hand wash garments. Respond to guest requests for laundry/dry cleaning, minor repair, and pressing. Maintain records of laundered items and uniforms distributed and returned. Deliver laundry/dry cleaning to guests and employees.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: Less than 1-year related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
