      **What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):**
      - Oversee budget and fund allocation for DSHS programs, ensuring fiscal accountability
      - Collaborate with administration and division budget/fiscal staff to present accurate financial information
      - Develop products related to budget development, allotment preparation, and monthly fiscal monitoring
      - Conduct intensive reviews of monthly financial statuses and year-end projections for assigned divisions
      - Assist program staff with access to DSHS and OFM budget systems

      **What is Required (Qualifications):**
      - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or public administration
      - Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in public budgeting or program analysis
      - Familiarity with the budget and legislative processes in Washington State
      - Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex data with minimal supervision
      - Excellent communication skills to convey technical processes clearly

      **How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):**
      - Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a closely allied field
      - Experience advising on policy changes and their fiscal implications
      - Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to present multiple solutions to budget-related issues
