      This Treatment Director for our Duluth Northland Campus will be responsible for the oversight and development of treatment programs for residents.

      Essential duties and responsibilities:

      Provide oversight to the development and maintenance of licensed treatment programming at our Duluth campus

      Licensing:

      • Maintain and update program policy manual and supporting documentation to remain compliant with licensing agencies.
      • Ensure treatment services provided to individual clients be provided in the individual treatment plan individual and group counseling, client education strategies, transition services, services to address issues related to co-occurring mental illness issues in compliance with Minnesota Rule6405 – 9530.6505.
      • Ensure that all assessments, documentation, reviews and State reporting are done in appropriate timeframe.
      • Ensure curriculum is developed and provided that assists the client to identify and address problems related to chemical use.
      • Ensure participation in the drug and alcohol abuse normative evaluation system.
      • Initiate and maintain consultation services in accordance with Minnesota Rule 9560.6435 in regards to medical interventions, mental health services and administration of medication.

      Supervision:

      • Conduct annual employee performance reviews for staff members supervised; administer performance coaching and corrective action when necessary.
      • Ensure that employees are supervised according to licensing agencies and Host County
      • Ensure that all licensing documentation, including continuing education/training is maintained in compliance with Minnesota Rule 9530.6460.
      • Provide oversight to the treatment team, weekly.
      • Ensure staffing levels are appropriate

      Personnel Supervised:

      • Program Supervisor
      • Administrative Assistance
      • MH Professional
      • Admissions Manager/Assessor
      • Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Must be free of chemical use problems for at least the one year immediately preceding hire.
      • Obtain 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health problems training within six months of hire
      • Documented one-year work experience in direct service to individuals with chemical use problems or one year of work experience in the management or administration of direct services to individuals with chemical use problems and have a baccalaureate degree or three years work experience in administration or personnel supervision in human services.
      • Knowledge and understanding of implications of parts 9543.1000 to 9543.1060, and Minnesota Statutes, chapter 245A, and sections 626.556, 626.557, and 626.5572.
      • Ability to successfully complete MN Dept of Human Services background study.
      • Licensed in the state of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
