- Provides short-term individual, couple, and family counseling, case management, problem resolution, and referral of employees to community or other available resources.
- Provides crisis intervention and critical incident response services, as necessary.
- Develops specific prevention and treatment plans based on research, clinical experience, and client histories.
- Coordinates counseling efforts with mental health professionals or other health professionals, such as doctors, nurses, or social workers.
- Consults with hospital staff on difficult cases and responds to critical incidents with strategies and resources to address personal and workplace problems.
- Provides supervisory consultations and support to Human Resource Managers and appropriate operational leadership for work related issues impacting client population.
- Tracks and monitors employer-related referrals from point of referral through completion of services. Report on data metrics as required. Utilizes metrics to evaluate program services and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provides employee and management orientations regarding the role of EAP’s and available program services.
- Maintains current, complete records regarding client care including treatment plans and consent to treatment.
- Develops and implements psycho-educational programs on a variety of topics.
- Receives General instruction, advice and assistance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.
- 3 plus years work experience providing direct clinical consultation services for the management and/or treatment of chemical dependency, traumatic stress, and short-term problem resolution and crisis management.
- Licensure as a LCSW or LPC in State of Texas.
- 2 plus years of experience providing on-site Employee Assistance Program (EAP) consultation services.
- Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) Certification.

Description: The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Consultant Part-Time (PT) provides short-term counseling, evaluation, referrals, crisis management, and follow-up services for Network employees and their families. The EAP Consultant PT counsels clients individually or in group sessions to assist in overcoming personal problems and other life challenges. This is a part-time position working afternoon/early evening hours. Shift times are flexible as long as evening coverage 6pm-8pm is fulfilled.
