What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the subject-matter expert on early childhood development, trauma-informed care, and infant and early childhood mental health
- Support Early Childhood Court (ECC) sites with implementation of core components, including reflective practice and developmental screening
- Develop and implement a statewide education and outreach plan regarding the needs of children ages 0-5 in the dependency system
- Facilitate statewide workgroups focused on cross-system coordination and equitable practices
- Collaborate with courts and state/tribal partners to align court improvement efforts with maternal and child health initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in court administration, public administration, political science, business administration, or a closely allied field
- Three (3) years of experience in court administration and/or program development
- Demonstrated knowledge of infant and toddler development, trauma-responsive care, and early intervention practices
- Strong communication, organizational, and writing skills
- Familiarity with Washington's dependency court system and public sector collaboration
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's or master's degree in early childhood development, public health, social work, psychology, or a closely related field
- At least three (3) years of professional experience in early childhood, child welfare, public health, or a related field
- Experience facilitating collaborative efforts across systems and stakeholder groups
- Understanding of statewide early learning or child welfare initiatives and programs
- Lived experience or experience working closely with individuals impacted by the child welfare system
