- To have clinical responsibility for a case load as specified by the EIP Clinical Lead.
- To work with carers and family members, offering carers assessments and providing education, support, and information to them as indicated. Signposting to third sector agencies to ensure they receive appropriate advice and support. Advising them about the triggers around risk factors relating to the service user, within the boundaries of confidentiality.
- To monitor risk, progress and where necessary compliance including the service users' views to their care and treatment and when appropriate to work in partnership with the service user's family and carers. To explain and discuss medication with the service user, including side effects they may experience and the role that the medication may have in their recovery or ongoing care.
- To assertively engage with service users, striving at all times to develop good therapeutic relationships.

The Berkshire Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIP) is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Band 6 Mental Health Practitioners to join their innovative and dynamic team.
This post is to work at New Horizons, Slough. The EIP team is embedded within the place based localities, although it's a trust-wide service, with teams based at each locality.
We are a specialist service working with individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis or who are presenting with an at-risk mental state, between the ages of 18 to 65.
We operate a Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm service, although some flexibility is required. You will have a clear passion for supporting people and their family in their recovery.
You will work with our integrated team of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychological therapists, and STR workers to empower and support our clients to understand their experiences and return to college, university or employment. We work with our clients for up to 3 years and the majority do go back to their GP, therefore, it is a rewarding team to work with.
