What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze evaluation data to determine child eligibility for the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program
- Develop, review, and evaluate Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) based on assessments and family input
- Monitor and coordinate services to ensure effective implementation of the IFSP
- Assist families in accessing rights and necessary services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Part C
- Provide direct or consultative developmental services to support children’s skill acquisition
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree from an accredited university in a field related to early childhood intervention
- Successful completion of at least nine semester credit hours relevant to early childhood intervention and three in early childhood development or special education
- Ability to work cooperatively and build rapport with teams, families, and community agencies
- Knowledge of child development and experience with record keeping and case management preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn new technology systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual skills
- Experience working with young or severely/profoundly delayed children
- Training in the Competency Demonstration System for assessing child development
- Experience in parent training and developmental assessments
- Familiarity with community resources for child services
