What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining Revenue Cycle's EDI systems, including web portals and databases
- Serve as the expert for all web portals used by the Revenue Cycle department
- Respond to service requests in a timely and accurate manner to maintain customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate payor files for all commercial and governmental portals
- Identify and communicate issues that may hinder operations with claims and data exchange
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Formal education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of billing and payer claims requirements for both commercial and government sectors
- Understanding of revenue cycle workflow and insurance billing requirements
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Minimum of two years' relevant work experience or education in healthcare billing/coding preferred, but not required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with governmental and commercial insurance billing requirements
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail
