      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide administrative and clerical support to supervisors and the overall imprint
      - Assist with daily editorial activities including proposal/manuscript screening and project follow-up
      - Track and maintain a grid of agented submissions and evaluate manuscripts
      - Write jacket and catalog copy, Title Information sheets, and manage books through all production stages
      - Attend and contribute ideas at editorial meetings while staying updated on trends and competitor titles

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Passionate about children's publishing with a desire to learn
      - Some office or internship experience required (previous publishing experience not necessary)
      - Strong writing and critical thinking skills
      - Self-starter with excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
      - Creative and proactive team player

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Previous experience in an office or internship setting related to publishing
      - Familiarity with children's literature and current trends in the publishing industry
      - Ability to proofread and copyedit effectively
