      Job Description Summary:

      The Education and Training Coordinator, Revenue Cycle, has responsibility for incorporating principles of adult learning in the design, development, provision and follow up for education programs for staff and management across all Revenue Cycle departments, designated departments outside of the Revenue Cycle, as well as external vendors. Responsibilities include development of class curriculum as well as ongoing management of course content according to changes in operational processes and procedures. The Education and Training Coordinator must maintain knowledge of Revenue Cycle information systems, departmental processes, and policies and procedures. Training venues include individual and small group courses, large classroom sessions that span several days of course content, and development of on line courses through OhioHealth University. This position supports new hire training as well as training for new system implementations and upgrades. To support new system implementations, the Education and Training Coordinator is responsible for leading education project teams, determining tasks and timelines to create, develop and provide project training, and track issues relative to completion of the project training initiative. This position also has responsibility to provide consultation regarding principles of education to other Revenue Cycle staff who provide ad hoc training.

      Responsibilities And Duties:

      Delivers education programs to Revenue Cycle management and associates. Education offerings include training regarding the use of information systems, operational processes, policies and procedures. Training venues include one-on-one, small group, and large classroom programs as well as instructional materials in all types of media and formats.

      Develops training material, scheduling, and coordination of system and procedural training for the various areas of the revenue cycle.
      15%
      Assesses departmental education needs, collaborates with Revenue Cycle management to identify and prioritize new educational opportunities, review and revise current education offerings, and explore new and innovative methods for education delivery thus creating a climate which supports learning across the Revenue Cycle.

      Assesses learning through the creating of competency evaluations. Develops, coordinates, and executes education plans related to initial and ongoing staff competency validation and departmental QA activities. Adjusts content and teaching strategies as appropriate to the learners needs.

      Develops OhioHealth University on-line training programs including the design, storyboarding, recording voice and video movement in Adobe Captivate. Maintains job code assignments in OhioHealth University system. Sets up, update and run reports for class assignments in OhioHealth University. Collaborates with OhioHealth University to in the assimilation of these programs using the on line education software program.

      Provides leadership and consultation to Revenue Cycle associates who provide ad hoc training.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      Bachelor's Degree (Required)

      Additional Job Description:

      2-4 years training Experience Excellent communication and presentation skills. Accounts Receivable and collection; knowledge and understanding of healthcare information systems, claims systems, patient processing systems related to the gathering of information and production of billing and collections 4 years healthcare financial Experience preferably with receivable management
