What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate departmental seminars, educational events, and training sessions, managing logistics and communication with speakers
- Support instructors and course directors by preparing course materials and assisting with scheduling
- Manage procurement functions, including ordering and receipt of laboratory supplies and equipment
- Maintain and update the department's website, digital signage, and weekly newsletters
- Provide general administrative support, including mail distribution and maintaining faculty calendars
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in education, computing, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience coordinating education programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a diverse community
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to organize resources and establish priorities effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a higher education environment or academic administrative role
- Familiarity with Workday or similar procurement systems
- Knowledge of program planning and implementation in an educational context
- Strong skills in database management and report preparation
- Ability to engage with faculty, students, and stakeholders effectively
