What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Meet with prospective customers to explore and present digital product solutions in the K-12 market
- Achieve and exceed sales revenue goals within assigned budgets
- Partner with decision-makers in districts to present Cengage solutions that enhance student learning
- Seek new growth opportunities to develop market share in the sales territory
- Participate in networking opportunities, including conferences and industry functions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of curriculum needs for K-12 teachers and librarians
- Proven record of consistent sales and goal achievement performance
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and colleagues
- Comfortable discussing instructional strategies and educational trends with educators and administrators
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proven track record selling into K–12 schools or districts
- Prior experience as an educator, librarian, instructional coach, or in curriculum development
- Technology proficiency and ability to discuss online access and technology's impact on the classroom
- Skilled in constructing a strong sales pipeline and validating leads
- Aptitude for operating in a changing environment with innovative solutions
