      EHS Compliance Specialist

      Location: Shreveport, Louisiana

      Schedule: Monday to Friday

      Salary: $80K - $100K (DOE)

      Employment Type: PERMANENT, Direct Hire!

      Job Description:

      Our client is a leading distributor of pipes, valves, and fittings (PVF). They are seeking an EHS COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST to join their team. This is a PERMANENT role, located in Shreveport, LA

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Conduct facility inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental risks and develop mitigation plans.

      • Develop and implement inspection policies and procedures, establishing a schedule for routine inspections.

      • Review and develop health and safety procedures for all departments within the company.

      • Prepare and schedule employee training on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.

      • Monitor compliance with safety procedures and ensure proper documentation of inspection findings.

      • Draft inspection reports detailing findings, recommendations, and actions taken.

      • Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and ensure they are accessible when needed.

      • Keep records of hazardous waste discharge and employee exposure to pollutants, in compliance with regulations.

      • Perform additional related duties as required by the company.

      • Lead and manage a team of safety professionals to ensure safety goals are met.

      Required Skills and Abilities:

      • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex EHS challenges.

      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

      • Proven experience managing and leading a team.

      • Working knowledge of environmental reports such as Air, SWPPP, SPCC, and ERIC.

      Education and Experience:

      • A minimum of 5 years of related experience is preferred.

      • Experience in manufacturing site safety is highly preferred.

      • EHS Certification is preferred but not required.
