      As the EHS Manager, you will oversee a comprehensive Environmental, Health and Safety program for our Springdale, PA plant and Springdale R&D Center. You will report into the Industrial Coatings EHS function and drive initiatives to assess and minimize workplace risks, while also providing guidance and training to ensure a consistent and unified EHS message.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local and PPG requirements and policies.

      • Drive injury prevention, spill elimination and sustainability in the areas of waste elimination, energy conservation and water consumption.

      • Oversight and completion of the industrial hygiene program.

      • Provide incident and injury investigation, incident reporting management (GS2).

      • Workers’ compensation management of cases.

      • Provide technical guidance on the facility-wide MOC program.

      • Evaluate the EHS Impacts of capital projects and assure EHS risk assessments are completed.

      • Provide oversight, audit readiness and mentorship for compliance audits and corrective action management.

      • Lead site security management, provide support for fire prevention and insurance carrier risk management; Oversee site emergency response plans and teams.

      • Ensure compliance with site permits and plans (Indirect Discharge, SPCC, SWPPP, Air).

      • Oversight of the Waste Management Program (Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, Universal).

      • Help develop leading indicators that drive continuous improvement in sustainability metrics (energy, water, waste), spill incidents, injuries and the EHS Management System.

      • Champion and lead direct reports.

      Qualifications

      • A Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related Science field.

      • 5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing or chemical setting.

      • Solid understanding of safety and environmental regulations and consensus standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, DHS, Workers’ Compensation), inspection procedures, audits, hazard reviews and incident investigation techniques.

      • Expertise in change management and building a safety culture through influence and engagement.

      • Must possess a “hands-on” attitude.

      • Minimal local travel may be required.
