- Lead by example in adhering to all safety and environmental processes, ensuring the highest standards of safety are maintained.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safe practices in all operational activities.
- Understand newly written OMM’s and procedures, utilizing experience to ensure safety and compliance with FRM and other safety standards.
- Provide feedback to project planners regarding opportunities for safety and environmental improvements
- Operate haul trucks and water trucks efficiently, transporting materials to assigned locations such as load-out bins, valley heap leach, and other haulage requirements as directed by dispatch or mine supervisors.
- Safely operate loading and support equipment
- Conduct operations in a safe, productive, and environmentally responsible manner.
- Flexible mindset, this role is likely to require operating many different pieces of equipment throughout the shift, including heavy mobile equipment and stationary charging equipment.
- Utilize basic math and science skills to complete daily reporting requirements accurately.
- Provide regular feedback regarding operations of equipment
- Diligently learn and understand all operator's manuals, safety rules, and company procedures related to the operation haul trucks, water trucks, and other mining support equipment.
- Conduct thorough walk-around inspections of equipment and effectively communicate any mechanical issues to mine maintenance with detailed information

Preferred 3 plus years of experience in safely and productively operating haul trucks, water trucks and/or heavy mining equipment

This position requires a 10-hour daytime shift schedule, four days per week.

The role is based at the Cripple Creek & Victor mine site in Colorado.

Newmont has the perfect opportunity for you to embark on an exciting journey as a Haul Truck Operator/ Heavy Equipment Operator at our mine site in Cripple Creek, Colorado. This role is to support the Vision Zero Electrification and Decarbonization efforts with Newmont at CC&V. This role will require testing and evaluating new equipment as part of the V0 Electrification Ecosystem.

This position has multiple levels (which may range from level 1 up to level 6). The hourly rate offered for this overtime-eligible role will depend on the level, and the range of the hourly rate is USD $29.52- 42.87
