What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide technical expertise and support within the Electrical Engineering Division
- Assist senior engineers and technicians on diverse engineering projects
- Review and ensure compliance of design drawings, technical manuals, and specifications
- Evaluate contractor configuration management systems and procedures
- Participate in shipboard testing and trials to validate engineering solutions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be suitable for federal employment
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
- Completion of a pre-appointment physical examination
- Ability to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience or coursework in electrical engineering or related fields
- Familiarity with shipbuilding processes and standards
- Knowledge of engineering design software and tools
- Previous internship or cooperative education experience in engineering
- Understanding of government contracting regulations and procedures
