      B.L. Harbert International is looking for an Electrical Manager for various locations overseas.

      Responsibilities:

      • Be the subject matter expert for the electrical trade on project site and ensure construction progresses as scheduled and in line with contract specifications
      • Support and Coordinate with electrical field superintendent on schedule and technical needs
      • Liaise with main BLHI office regarding procurement and technical support
      • Review construction drawings, construction contract requirements, and material specifications
      • Review and assemble electrical submittals for client and engineering review
      • Takeoff, request and track electrical material based on drawings and site needs
      • Manage electrical coordination drawing issuance process with the MEP and Civil/Arch engineering
      • Coordinate, liaise, and manage vendors and field technicians during startup phases
      • Manage and ensure documentation of commissioning, design variations, and client material turnover are being fulfilled

      Requirements:

      • US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance
      • Ability to relocate to an international project site for 2-4 years
      • 3-5 years of electrical construction engineering experience
      • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work with all levels of the organization especially project office staff and field personnel
      • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
      • Ability to speak, read, write and communicate effectively in English
      • Strong computer skills

      Preferences:

      • Experience in highly technical Department of Defense or Department of State projects
      • Experience leading a successful DOD, COE, NAVFAC, or DOS project overseas
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

      Physical Demands:

      To perform the duties of this job, the employee must:

      • Have the ability to repetitively use hands to grasp, reach above and below with arms, and work overhead
      • Have the ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, climb, bend, balance and twist for extended periods
      • Have the ability to frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 75 pounds
      • Possess the manual dexterity to utilize and operate construction tools and/or construction equipment and machinery
      • Possess physical agility and mobility, to include safely maneuvering throughout the job site

      Work Environment:

      To perform the duties of this job, the employee

      • Must be able to work 60-hours/week, six days/week, 10 hours/day
      • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration
      • Will have occasional exposure to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites including frequent loud noises
      • Must be comfortable with regular work near moving mechanical parts and outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
