      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide embedded software engineering support at the customer location and other sites as needed
      - Collaborate with clients to develop proposals and establish relationships with new government clients
      - Analyze software architecture and apply disciplined methods for optimized solutions
      - Assess the use of modern software development techniques and cybersecurity methodologies
      - Evaluate software contractor activities and recommend mitigation strategies for identified risks

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - BS with 8 years, MS with 5 years, or PhD with 2 years of experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
      - Ability to travel occasionally (up to 25%) to various SEI offices and sponsor sites
      - Must be eligible for a Department of War security clearance following a background investigation
      - Strong understanding of the DoW Systems Engineering lifecycle and Digital Engineering capabilities
      - Proficiency in software development languages such as C, C++, Ada, and/or VHDL/Verilog

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Familiarity with embedded software and firmware safety standards such as MIL-STD-882E, DO-178C, DO-254
      - Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems like VxWorks and performance testing of embedded software
      - Previous experience in a collaborative team environment focusing on software development or verification
