      What this job involves

      The EMEA Sustainability Lead will form part of the Integrated Facilities Management function within one of JLLʼs key Client portfolio driving strategy toward a sustainable future.

      The role will hold accountability for providing integrated support to all services in driving sustainability across our portfolio, planning and implementing initiatives and collating data to report on progress. The EMEA Sustainability Lead will be a single contact for all things sustainability while working closely with local, regional and champion leads.

      The EMEA Sustainability Lead will be a strategic partner reporting to the EMEA Engineering Director and will be a leader within the engineering function. The role will be the lead in all areas relating to Utilities, Energy Resource, Waste and Sustainable Environments.

      • Drive strategy, objectives and tactical requirements in all areas of sustainability

      • Deliver monthly management information report including environmental, waste and sustainability performance and financial metrics.

      • Develop supplier relationships to manage delivery of environmental and sustainability improvements and report on progress made

      • Monitor emerging sustainability related legal compliance as well as Government and industry best practice

      • Apply knowledge to drive best practice and innovation to meet sustainable standards

      • Engage with supplier, vendors and contractors, relating to environmental and su s t ainability per f orman c e and imp r o v ement s

      • Champion campaigns in partnership with the local Teams to promote engagement in the area of sustainability

      • Assist in developing and implementing an estate sustainability strategy

      • Advise on potential risks associated with emerging legislation and recommend solutions

      • Consult with subject matter experts throughout JLL and suppliers to ensure the contract utilizes the most up to date guidance and codes of practice.

      • Share guidance on all the latest trends, and as such will be expected to dedicate time to research and monitor announcements from key industry bodies, institutions and networks to stay ahead of the curve.

      • Support the EMEA JLL Account, driving Governance, Compliance, Reporting.

      • Support and manage project delivery, resources/team providing technical services guidance and direction to achieve project goals relating to energy and sustainability related projects

      • Ensure data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated

      • Implement change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals and issue change orders

      • Identify technical risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks

      • All the time working in accordance with health and safety measures and promoting best practice amongst colleagues, contractors and vendors.

      Desired experience and technical skills

      • You have direct experience in delivering sustainability solutions within Facilities Management services within a fast paced environment

      • Ability to undertake on-site and desktop assessments to identify utility savings.

      • Ability to write recommendation reports to suit varying audiences (technical and non-technical).

      • A w ar eness of c arbon r eporting and a c c ounting.

      • Evidence of delivering innovation and engaging positively with continuous change and improvement

      • You have worked in a similar role and have skills to lead and influence others

      • You are able to build and maintain positive client relations and network at all levels

      • You have communication and interpersonal skills and proven capabilities to eff e c ti v ely r ep r esent businesses and dri v e decisions

      • You work collaboratively as part of a team to solve problems with professionalism and service focused approach

      • You are proficient with computer equipment and programs (Word, Excel and Outlook), and have a keen interest in technology

      • You have good communication skills, including presentation and negotiation skills

      • You are adept at multitasking and are able to manage multiple projects effectively

      • You are adaptable to work to requests and projects that may vary from day to day changing to meet business requirements is a perquisite for this role

      • You strive for excellence in what you do and share ideas for improvement

      • You are proficient with Word and Excel and have a keen interest in technology.
