What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide specialized Emergency Response support services to the Midwest Region
- Facilitate and coordinate the implementation of Emergency Response programs and initiatives
- Liaise with local emergency response organizations to assess capabilities and limitations
- Assist in the development and execution of emergency response exercises and evaluations
- Manage Regional emergency response equipment and ensure proper maintenance for effective response
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Degree related to occupational health and safety, environment, or emergency response
- Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in emergency response within the oil and gas industry
- Understanding of applicable emergency response regulations and related standards within Canada and the U.S.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex situations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Training and experience in the Incident Command System and response to oil spills on land and water
- Experience in industrial firefighting, including tank fires
- Working knowledge of industry best practices for oil and gas facility emergencies
- Proven ability to innovate, influence change, and deliver results
