- Track and coordinate compliance for all employment vaccinations for new and existing team members and provide immunizations as necessary.
- Perform and assist in providing annual screenings to include respiratory mask fit testing and Tuberculosis skin testing/questionnaire as necessary with test results review as required by internal and external policies.
- Coordinate work-related injuries/illness to include facilitating medical evaluations and treatment, tracking follow-up care, processing payments accordingly, initiating accident investigation, and communicating with third-party vendors about incident, as required.
- Conduct infection surveillance as related to healthcare workers, including providing post-exposure protocol education, maintaining mandated documentation, and communicating to department leadership/clinical leadership/safety committee, as appropriate.
- Serve on safety committee and provide support to other committees and projects as needs arise for employee health and safety initiatives.
- Arrange ergonomic evaluations and equipment for team members, as necessary.
- Assist in administering the annual flu immunization program to include providing education to team members and results to Safety Committee.
- Coordinate wellness activities and communication to support the organization’s wellbeing initiatives.
- Perform related work as required.
Christie Clinic's department of Health Plan Administration is seeking a full-time Employee Health and Wellness Specialist from Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm at the University Clinic. The primary duties include providing care and services that help maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Further duties include collecting data for all new hire health screenings and coordinate any follow up care, facilitate treatment for work related injuries and illnesses, assist in tracking regulatory compliance within OSHA guidelines for safety, and promote and create wellness initiatives for the organization wellness program.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a combination of a clinical and medical office settings. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
