      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Responsible for developing and implementing strategies, prioritizing evidence-based approaches for client to obtain competitive employment opportunities, including for young adults.
      • Conduct a functional assessment to determine client educational and vocational strengths, needs, abilities, preferences, goals for inclusion in their care plans.
      • Provide training to clients regarding skills and strategies for getting and keeping a job.
      • Serves as a liaison to possible and actual employers.
      • Be an integral part of the CCBHC multidisciplinary team, including family care planning and collaboration.
      • Offer individual counseling sessions and conduct regular vocational support groups with peer support for job-search activities including resume writing, the creation of a job search plan, and shared reviews of successful and unsuccessful job search activities.
      • Serve as liaison to offsite employment assistance services.
      • Assist administrative staff in collection of information for program effectiveness.
      • Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations.
      • Participate in all training programs for the Whole Family Health Model.
      • Attend individual supervision with clinical supervisor.

      SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

      • Skilled and knowledgeable in working with people living with mental illness, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders with a strength-based, whole health approach.
      • Knowledgeable with current vocational and job training evidenced based approaches, including assessments and testing.
      • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, colleagues, public, other agencies and their staff, and third-party insurance personnel.
      • Cultural competence with Latino and other culture.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years’ experience providing vocational or employment services in a human services agency or closely related experience. Very good interpersonal/communication and strong clinical skills. Bilingual Spanish a plus.

      HOURS PER WEEK: This is a full-time 40-hour week exempt salary position, utilizing a flex schedule.

      TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Moderate degree of travel to employers, home visits.
