Job Description

- Coordinate and manage pre-employment activities, including I-9 verification, drug screenings, and document collection.
- Prepare and schedule onboarding requirements while serving as the main point of contact for new hires from offer acceptance to start date.
- Facilitate new hire orientation sessions, delivering consistent messaging on company policies, culture, and expectations.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all new hire paperwork, including tax forms and direct deposit information.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and company policies throughout the onboarding process.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure equipment readiness, access, and workspace readiness before new hire start dates.
- Monitor onboarding progress using systems like Recruiting and Human Resource management systems and SharePoint and follow up on incomplete tasks.
- Support immigration processes and act as backup for the Immigration and Staffing Specialist, handling sensitive documentation and reporting as needed.
- Create and maintain onboarding documentation, training materials, and process checklists.
- Assist with developing and delivering onboarding metrics and reports to leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive immigration and employment status information.
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, HR, talent acquisition, or onboarding
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication with a professional, customer-focused approach
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and compliance
- Skilled in delivering onboarding presentations to diverse audiences
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and onboarding procedures
- Experience supporting immigration processes, including visa and I-9 compliance
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
- Background in fast-paced or regulated industries
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (e.g., Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
- WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations and cold or humid weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to waste material, feed, and hog dust.

We have an exciting Employment Specialist opportunity in Guymon, OK. The Employment Specialist manages and facilitates the whole hiring process, guiding applicants seamlessly from initial application to successful onboarding. A key focus of this role is to deliver a smooth, compliant, and positive onboarding experience while maintaining a strong emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance. This includes verifying employment eligibility through the timely and proper completion of I-9 documentation in accordance with federal guidelines. By aligning staffing efforts with operational demands, this position plays a critical role in supporting workforce goals, enhancing organizational efficiency, and upholding a high standard of candidate care throughout the hiring journey.
