What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct energy resilience studies, including evaluating power distribution systems and client electrical loads
- Develop facility energy conservation measures and efficiency improvements
- Perform facility audits and field inspections to identify energy conservation opportunities
- Maintain detailed project records and develop technical reports under tight deadlines
- Collaborate with team members and manage onsite personnel to meet project objectives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in energy resilience, power system design, or energy consulting
- BS in electrical engineering or an energy-related field; equivalent experience may be acceptable
- Strong background in electrical distribution systems, particularly medium voltage systems up to 35 kVa
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to produce technically correct documentation
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with eQUEST, Energy Pro, or other energy modeling software
- Possession of a Professional Engineer license or certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- Previous experience working at Federal or Department of Defense facilities
- Knowledge of utility information systems and energy management technologies
- Proven communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members
