      Job Summary

      Responsible for planning and design of broadband coaxial and fiber networks. Works with construction team and design business partners to produce high quality coaxial and fiber designs at or before deadline for each design task. Works with construction team and design business partners to accurately document design through the entire construction process.

      Please note: This position is office optimal, 4 days in office at one of the listed locations and 1 day remote

      Job Description

      Core Responsibilities:

      • Work with construction team and design business partners to produce designs for coaxial and fiber networks designed to Comcast standards for each architecture.
      • Coaxial Design for SFU, MDU, SMB networks.
      • Fiber Design for EPON, Metro E, WAVE, CRAN, and managed Wi-Fi networks.
      • Manage fiber and wavelength usage. Manage and produce fiber splicing documentation.
      • Manage and produce fiber and coaxial design documentation through the entire construction process. Manage asbuilts for accuracy.
      • Manage design tasks using P2 Salesforce.
      • Review survey documentation for accuracy. Determine tie-points for new design jobs.
      • Maintain understanding of changes in project specs, procedures, policies, etc.
      • Prepare drawings and maps when needed for all Comcast teams.
      • Attend team and departmental meetings as needed.
      • Maintain an open line of communication between internal and external teammates.
      • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.
      • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

      Highly Preferred skills/knowledge:

      • Spatial Net, AutoCad, Lode Data, MicroStation, ArcGis, Google Earth, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
      • Understanding of coaxial and fiber broadband networks
      • Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings.
      • Understanding of easements and rights-of-way and ability to read and understand maps, as-built, construction drawings and utility records.
      • Must be able to adapt to changes in project scope and shifts in priority.
      • Must be a great communicator, both verbal and written.
      • Superior time management and attention to detail.

      Compensation

      This job can be performed in Washington Or California Or Colorado with a Pay Range of $24 USD -$41 USD

      Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.       Bachelor's Degree
