      Position Overview:

      RASIRC is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Engineering Manager to lead key engineering initiatives across our chemical manufacturing operations, with an immediate focus on our new Brute Hydrazine plant and Brute Peroxide scale-up. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who is ready to manage projects, guide cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement in a safety-first production environment.

      This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role in scaling up high-purity chemical production for advanced semiconductor applications.

      Key Responsibilities:

      Project & Facility Execution

      • Lead engineering efforts related to new plant design, equipment specification, and process commissioning.
      • Support the Brute Hydrazine plant buildout from detailed design through startup.
      • Coordinate cross-functional input with R&D, operations, and quality.

      Process & Equipment Engineering

      • Develop and optimize chemical purification and distribution systems.
      • Apply process modeling and engineering calculations to improve throughput and yield.
      • Support implementation of best practices for safety, control systems, and reliability.

      Team Leadership & Collaboration

      • Supervise a small team of engineers and technicians, providing coaching and technical direction.
      • Work closely with vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project outcomes.
      • Partner with senior leadership to align engineering work with company objectives.

      Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

      • Drive process improvement initiatives and troubleshoot production issues.
      • Ensure EH&S, quality, and performance targets are met.
      • Support long-term maintenance planning and reliability programs.

      Qualifications:

      Education: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.

      Experience: 7+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, process scale-up, or plant operations.

      Experience with hazardous chemical processes, purification systems, or gas handling strongly .

      Proven ability to manage technical projects and lead small teams.

      Excellent organizational and communication skills.

      Additional Requirements:

      U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required (no sponsorship available).

      Regular travel to El Centro, CA.

      Ability to work in an industrial plant environment with PPE and physical activity.

      Must be based in or willing to relocate to the San Diego area (relocation not provided).

      What We Offer:

      The salary range for this position is $124,000 to $175,000/year depending on experience and qualifications.
