      English/Spanish Medical Proficiency Test Evaluator

      A Test Evaluator is an integral part of the recruiting process. They interact with the candidate in their native and target language to evaluate the candidates interpreting skills and language proficiency. The proficiency exam will be completed by web-based platform (Zoom) to record and provide documentation for test results. The test will be evaluated according to a given scoring criteria; therefore, paid training will be conducted before starting the position. Evaluators must be able to accept and use the required scoring parameters and maintain consistent and reliable scoring throughout their assignment. Quarterly calibration sessions will be required to ensure consistent ratings for all candidates.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Perform the test in a professional manner.
      • Follow and adhere to scoring criteria.
      • Enter complete data in the testing document and submit in a timely manner.
      • Provide comments and concerns to the IR (Interpreter Relations) Manager
      • Collaborate with team members to review, edit and update testing materials.
      • Attend quarterly calibration sessions.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      .

      • Nationally Certified in Spanish Interpreting
      • Excellent customer service skills
      • Accuracy and attention to detail
      • Organized and able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
      • Must have email access with the capability to send and receive attachments; must be able to navigate the internet and record tests.
      • Cultural background or knowledge of specific country or geographical region
      • Testing experience preferred but not required.
      • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
      • Minimum of 3 years professional interpreting experience.

      EDUCATION:

      • College degree preferred.
        • National Cerification through NBCMI or CCHI required
