      JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

      Penn State Altoona Sheetz Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence is searching for an Entrepreneurship Outreach Coordinator to support Penn State Altoona and the local community. This position is responsible for researching, planning, and executing public open enrollment programs specifically related to K-12 entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership; plus, other areas as needed. In addition to supporting the creation of and distributing marketing materials to promote programs, this position provides logistics management to ensure the quality of these programs.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Coordinate, facilitate, and oversee K-12 entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership programs.
      • Develop, review, and revise curriculum in conjunction with subject-matter experts to produce highly effective learning materials.
      • Monitor, update, and disseminate program and course information.
      • Complete the required documentation necessary to meet youth program compliance requirements, support registrations, and cancellations.
      • Develop and maintain budgets for programs.
      • Analyze program outcomes and use data-informed decision-making.
      • Issue certificates to program participants.
      • Cultivate, develop, and maintain relationships with community organizations, government agencies, business, and local K-12 educational organizations.
      • Plan and coordinate marketing updates.
      • May identify, recruit, and train instructional program personnel.
      • Execute a variety of marketing, communications, and public relations activities that may include advertising, web, email, social media, news media, special events, and other methods for entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership programs; Benchmark current social media and marketing trends and best practices; Research opportunities for new social marketing platforms; Create and manage monthly promotions.
      • Identify, develop, manage, deliver, and evaluate educational programs and related materials.
      • Responsible for Sheetz Fellows Program recruitment through establishing a year-round recruitment effort to engage potential students and promote awareness of the program with the local community. This will include tracking and nurturing leads, educating them on the program and its requirements, building relationships with organizations and campus offices.

      Education & Experience:

      • Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
      • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience with program coordination and/or marketing
      • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and computer skills.
      • Ability to be innovative, creative, and adaptable.
      • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

      Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on tasks

      Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
