What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage state and federal-level environmental review documents and permit applications
- Develop regulatory strategies with clients and negotiate with regulatory agencies
- Support public involvement and consult with various stakeholders
- Lead, organize, and direct multidisciplinary teams
- Travel periodically to fulfill position responsibilities

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or related field
- 7–10 years of experience in environmental review and permitting projects
- Knowledge of NEPA and state-equivalent regulations
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Recent experience with environmental permitting for mine sites
- Experience with regulatory programs such as NPDES and wetland permitting
- Up-to-date MSHA certification
- Ability to process complex information and develop appropriate strategies
- Experience training and mentoring staff
