What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and execute projects within the employer’s program execution framework, including cost tracking and performance metrics
- Define project requirements and technical objectives, overseeing project task teams across multiple disciplines
- Prepare project governing work plans and technical deliverables, such as management plans and feasibility study reports
- Develop solutions for complex technical and regulatory issues while supporting proposal development
- Travel to project locations for client and stakeholder meetings, as well as site visits
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS or MS degree in a technical discipline, with at least 12 years of relevant experience in the environmental field, or an MS degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience in RD/RA projects involving landfills and coastal remediation activities
- Proven experience in stakeholder interaction involving multiple local, state, and federal stakeholders
- Demonstrated management experience of staff, budgets, schedules, and project scope
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and effective verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist/Geoscientist (PG) certification, preferably licensed in Virginia
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with the U.S. Army Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) program and property transfer process
