What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Operate various types of forestry equipment, including skidders, mowers, chainsaws, and ATVs
- Manually remove vegetation from work areas and perform line clearance, pruning, and removals
- Apply pesticides safely and effectively in designated areas
- Work off-road on utility right-of-ways to maintain vegetation and protect the power grid
- Learn to operate a bucket truck and other equipment safely
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Ability to work 45 hours weekly in various weather conditions
- Physically capable of performing job requirements, including lifting up to 75 lbs and working at heights
- Willingness to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications for career growth
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Background in Utility Line Clearance, Arboriculture, Integrated Vegetation Management, or related fields
- Experience in physical labor roles or outdoor work environments
- Knowledge of safety practices in equipment operation and vegetation management
- Interest in pursuing certifications within the tree care industry
