What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct due diligence and risk analysis of complex real property activities and real estate transactions
- Assist project managers with real estate contracts and coordinate with the City Attorney's Office
- Monitor compliance for contracts, including tracking insurance and annual reports
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders
- Contribute to strategies aimed at preventing displacement of underserved communities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Five years of experience in planning, research, or analysis related to land use, real estate transactions, or urban economics
- Alternatively, four years of relevant experience and an associate's degree in a related field
- Or three years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in planning, urban design, or a related field
- Experience in performing complex real property analysis and due diligence evaluations
- Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues of varying expertise levels
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- A certificate in Commercial Real Estate or Paralegal Studies
- Personal or lived experience with planning, housing, or community development issues
- Familiarity with environmental issues or conservation related to urban planning
