Act as an eligibility determination subject matter expert for Colorado Works/TANF and serve as a resource to eligibility staff by assisting staff with difficult/complex cases, formulating approaches to address issues/problems, and briefing supervisors/managers on reoccurring concerns and issues
Document and update client information into state and county computer systems as well as respond to inquiries regarding fraud investigations and federal/state program management
Complete thorough research on TANF/SNAP/MA cases to resolve complex case errors and provide appropriate feedback to both internal and external clients/partners
Review, resolve, and respond to urgent/critical risk requests from various entities including, but not limited to: Management, Executive Management, other division’s Directors, Mayor’s Office, City Council Office, Office of Congress, CDHS, HCPF, and multiple other Community Partners
Serve as a community resource specialist for community partners and refers clients to internal and/or external services and service providers
Monitor changes in client’s case status, contacts clients to verify changes/updates, and makes appropriate adjustments to eligibility and issued benefits which may result in issuing restorations and/or claims
Assist with the reissuance of stolen EBT benefits and keeps up to date with any process changes regarding Lost/Stolen EBT Benefits
Maintain current knowledge of the Colorado Benefits Management System, programs, policies, and community resources and adjusts work processes to ensure accurate provision of benefits
Perform other related duties as assigned

Education: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
Experience: Three (3) years of experience determining eligibility for a variety of public assistance programs
Education & Experience Equivalency Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $24.11-$36.17. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:
Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work at the Castro Building (1200 N Federal Blvd) 3 days per week. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

Denver Human Services is currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual to serve as the Escalations Specialist for Questions & Answers (Q&A) team within the Family and Adult Assistance Division (FAAD).In this role, you will specialize in addressing and answering concerns, complaints, and escalations pertaining to Adult Financial, Food Assistance and Medical Assistance referred by the State, DHS Management, or law makers as requested. The selected candidate will be familiar with the laws, rules, regulations, computer systems, and general practices governed by FAAD.
