Job Description

- Researching and resolving any issues related to escrow and escrow payments;
- Assisting borrowers and other departments with questions or issues over the phone and e-mail;
- Reviewing and processing escrow set up and waiver requests in accordance with investor guidelines;
- Processing escrow payment adjustments;
- Assisting in regular and special escrow analysis cycles. Performing individual escrow analysis as requested by other departments;
- Performing manual reviews on escrowed accounts per RESPA guidelines to ensure payment change notifications are provided to the borrower within required timeframes;
- Reviewing and processing escrow transfer requests;
- Reviewing loans for monthly mass analysis processing;
- Reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to escrow and escrow analysis;
- Training Escrow Specialists as needed;
- Handling ad hoc Escrow Reporting as directed by management;
- Other duties as assigned.
- At least 1 year of Mortgage Servicing experience preferred;
- In-depth knowledge of MSP with at least 1 year recent experience working with MSP preferred.
- Has knowledge of commonly used terminology, concepts and practices and procedures within the mortgage industry;
- Ability to meet deadlines while working under pressure;
- Handle simultaneous tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently, as well as part of a team;
- Good business writing skills;
- Excellent business math skills;
- Analytical and organized;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong PC skills. Must be proficient in MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Office Suite, MS Visio, MS SharePoint and MS Project;
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including senior executives, managers, subject matter experts, and third-party business partners.
Overview
Position : Escrow Specialist
Location : Austin, TX- Hybrid after 90 days in office.
Pay: $24.00/hr
Position Summary :
This position requires the ability to research issues on mortgage loans that have escrow accounts and support the processing of individual and monthly escrow analyses. This is a hybrid position with the option of 3 days remote after 90 days in office.
