      The Role:

      As an Estimator, II you will be responsible for completing repair estimates based on home inspection reports. You will work collaboratively with other team members to determine the best cost in order to maximize the return for BOSSCAT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing project and bid strategies. You will do so by analyzing project proposals and historical cost data.

      Job Duties:

      • Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying repair requests, home inspection reports, structural engineer reports and related documents.
      • Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and margin requirements.
      • Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
      • Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
      • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
      • Ensure estimates are complete and accurate before being released to the client.
      • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.
      • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
      • Prepare thorough and timely cost analysis.
      • Analyze project proposals to prepare budget and cost estimates.
      • Gather, update, and review historical cost data.
      • Ensure that the scope and quality of the renovation meets the needs of the customer.
      • Speak with customers to answer questions about estimates as needed.


      What you Bring to the Table:

      • Bachelor's Degree preferred
      • 3-5 years experience in construction cost estimating for single family home renovations/repairs preferred
      • Experience estimating projects or relevant engineering experience preferred
      • Experience processing technical documents and stamina reading long reports
      • Highly organized self-starter
      • Works well in a collaborative, team environment
      • Polished and professional verbal and written communication skills
      • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain structure to set processes
      • Critical thinking and problem solving
      • Strong reading comprehension and attention to detail
      • Knowledge of real estate purchase transactions
      • Knowledge of real estate valuation techniques, particularly single-family
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace

      Hire Range/Rate:

      $22.00 pr hr. (3 month contract)

      Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX, LLC total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
