- Pursuing a degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, or related
- Flexibility to work unusual and abnormal hours based on event timeline s
- Passion for seeking out new challenges and growth opportunities
- Strong written and v erbal communication skills
- Ability to think analytical ly and creative ly
- Prior work experience or campus involvement in event planning
- Assist with the development of theming and deliverables for each event
- Coordinate with event team, internal teams in the Family of Companies, and outside vendors to execute events
- Align all virtual and onsite events with company and local safety standards
- Execute registration and volunteer processes for events
- Create and present proposals on food & beverage, décor, entertainment, transportation, etc.
- Assist with reconciliations and consolidate reports on the cost of activities
- Additional duties will be assigned by the Event Production Leaders if priorities shift leading up to events

Rock Events is a premiere team of event professionals who provide event production, business travel and hospitality services to Rocket Companies, in additional to venue sales for some of the most sought-after event spaces in the city of Detroit. Borne out of the Rock Family of Companies, Rock Events has managed many of Detroit’s largest gatherings for more than a decade.

Job Summary
Event Management Intern s work closely with the Rock Family of Companies Event Team. As a valued team member, you'll assist the Event Production Team with planning and executing special events, meetings, incentive travel, parties, award shows, charity functions and more. The goal is a world-class event, every time.
