      Your opportunity:

      Accessibility Services provides academic accommodations and services for students with disabilities
      and promotes a fully integrated university experience by ensuring that students have the
      opportunity to access and participate in all areas of student life. In partnership with a variety of
      Student Affairs and Academic departments, Accessibility Services provides comprehensive
      programming throughout each student’s university career to foster greater resiliency and promote
      the development of knowledge and skills that are transferrable to their future goals.

      Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, this position is responsible for providing support for the effective and efficient preparation and administration of tests and final examinations for students registered with Accessibility Services. The Examination Assistant will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the accommodated testing process are completed in a timely manner including liaising with academic departments, booking rooms, scheduling invigilators, obtaining test/exam materials, reviewing tests/exams received to make sure they are complete, and ensuring test/exam packages are complete.

      Your responsibilities will include:

      • Liaising with originators of test/examination scripts to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or obtain missingdata
      • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of information
      • Coordinating appropriate accommodation needs for students
      • Reviewing invigilator's reports and discussing issues/concerns with supervisor
      • Drafting training material for assistive technology
      • Maintaining a database

      Essential Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
      • Minimum two years of recent and related experience in the administration of examinations in a post-secondary environment.
      • Advanced skills using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and database management
      • Ability to exercise tact, good judgment and initiative; ability to work under pressure duringpeak periods, meet strict deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
      • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
      • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Ability to deal tactfully and sensitively with students, staff and faculty.
      • Must have a commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion.
