What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify, solicit, underwrite, and sell new and renewal Specialty accounts to drive profitable growth
- Utilize underwriting concepts and tools to ensure compliance with guidelines and pricing methodologies
- Manage assigned portfolio to meet gross written premium, profitability, and retention goals
- Build and maintain relationships with agents and clients, effectively marketing insurance capabilities
- Prepare and analyze information on underwriting decisions and market factors to drive results
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Generally, 3-7+ years of experience in Specialty or standard commercial lines
- 3-4+ years of experience in driving agency relationships for profitable new and renewal business
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external business partners
- Ability to exercise judgment and make sound business decisions within the scope of authority

- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to change and solve problems effectively
- Familiarity with market trends and state/territory regulations
- Proven track record of building effective relationships and trust with stakeholders
