      Summary of Job Duties:

      The Executive Assistant II will provide high level administrative support and manage/coordinate the daily operations of multiple projects for executive level management.


      • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business, or other field plus 3 years experience of administrative support at the executive level -OR- High School Diploma plus 7 years experience of administrative support at the executive level.

      Additional Information:

      General Duties

      • Provides professional and executive level administrative support to the Department by directly supporting the Chair and Assistant Chair
      • Coordinates day-to-day operations and departmental activities with minimal oversight
      • Serves as the point of contact in person and via telephone
      • Maintains the Department Chair's Calendar
      • Organizes, edits, and develops program/presentation materials

      Recruitment Assistance

      • Prepares and maintains correspondence
      • Request and assimilate all supporting recruitment documents
      • Arranges all travel related expenses to recruitment

      Travel and Procurement

      • Serves as point of contact for Chair travel, including but not limited to preparing travel itineraries, processing travel authorizations, and submitting travel reimbursements in collaboration with UAMS Procurement.
      • Serves as point of contact for official guests' travel (lecturers, visiting faculty, etc.)
      • Serves as backup support to the Procurement Specialist

      Department Website and Social Media Management

      • Update Departmental News
      • Post updated seminar schedule
      • Update Department Website and Social Media as needed

      Faculty Meeting Management

      • Provides support for monthly faculty meetings, including scheduling, recording, drafting, and distributing minutes
      • Other Duties as Assigned

      Salary Information:

      Commensurate with Education and Experience
