The Executive Assistant provides high-level professional administrative support to the Vice Provost for Global Affairs and Chief Global Officer at UNC-Chapel Hill. The Executive Assistant serves as the direct link and first point-of-contact to the Vice Provost and is responsible for a wide range of tasks, including prioritization and coordination of the Vice Provost's calendar, travel arrangements, expenses, event support, and communications. The Executive Assistant demonstrates excellent professionalism, diplomacy and discretion, and ensures that all matters are handled in a sensitive, organized, confidential and timely manner.
This position requires close attention and responsiveness to the administrative needs of the Vice Provost and regular consultation regarding current and emerging priorities. Using excellent judgment, the Executive Assistant brings critical issues to the Vice Provost's immediate attention and reroutes some issues to other areas for handling as needed.
The Executive Assistant draws upon a comprehensive knowledge of University systems and operations to ensure accurate and efficient support to the Vice Provost, as well as smooth and appropriate interfaces with other offices and individuals at the University.
The fast-paced and high-profile nature of this office requires the Executive Assistant to maintain composure under pressure and possess an exceptional ability to multi-task. The Executive Assistant is organized, detail-oriented, and meets deadlines without fail. Requires public contact at the highest levels internal and external to the organization.About the company
