      Position Highlights The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to Dr. Jennifer Hatcher, the Interim Associate Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion. The Executive Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative, fiscal, and operational support to Dr. Hatcher and will serve as the primary contact for the office. This position requires a high degree of professionalism, initiative, and organization, accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks with limited supervision.

      Duties & Responsibilities

      Responsibilities:

      • Responsible for a broad array of administrative and operational functions directly related to the department of Diversity and Inclusion. This includes setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
      • Oversees organization and coordination of AVP’s:
        -Meetings (extensive scheduling, location organization, food, supporting materials),
        -Pre- and post-travel arrangements, itineraries, and modifications
      • Participates in select meetings as designated by AVP by taking notes, preparing and disseminating minutes, agendas, correspondence, and supporting documentation
      • Handling of confidential matters relating to the department.
      • Serves as focal point and liaison for communications both internal and external to the University that affect the department; inclusive of but not limited to, preparing necessary files, agendas, following-up on action items and handling various correspondence.
      • Coordinates and maintains the AVP’s complex calendar using sound judgment in determining priorities.
      • Coordination of assigned projects and department initiatives at direction of AVP or other department Directors.
      • Provides administrative support to the department's team as needed.
      • Creates and oversees complex record-keeping systems and databases.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Minimum Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
      • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.
      • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
