Oversees the Company’s team of privacy professionals that provide guidance and expertise to employees. Additionally, responsible for maintaining our Policies, Rulebook Standards and Specifications, global legal and regulatory scanning, ensuring our practices reflect external requirements, and managing the relationship between the Global Privacy Office and our Legal function.
Responsible for ensuring compliant industry-leading policies and for continued improvement to global and market requirements in the Standards and Specifications in the Privacy Rulebook – ensuring compliance and industry leading practices.
Directs our efforts to monitor legal and regulatory changes in all markets and manages quarterly process to incorporate changes in our policies and Rulebook implementation practices.
Serves as a member of the Company’s Privacy & Data Protection Board (PDPB), which provides overall governance and strategic oversight to the Global Privacy Program.
To prepare for a future with more third parties, and with sponsorship and support from the PDPB, will lead the Company’s strategy for modernizing the privacy component of our contracting process with third parties. This will be a partnership between Privacy, Procurement, IT Risk Management Services, Legal and our Businesses.
Works with the Chief Privacy Officer to develop industry-leading practices and public policy opportunities to ensure that new alternatives exist for the robust use of information where current consent constructs are limiting.
Co-leads our network of Global Privacy Stewards and directly manages Regional Privacy principals who manage and oversee our network of 250+ Privacy Stewards.
Working with Privacy Stewards and partner groups worldwide, ensures privacy requirements are built into our products and services, and third-party relationships.
Monitors internal business models and needs by being brought to the Privacy Team and ensures new needs are integrated into our implementation practices to drive improved efficiency and compliance effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
Juris Doctor degree (J.D.)
10+ years of direct Privacy experience in a large, global multinational corporation or law firm.
Contracting experience, and knowledge of Privacy contracting processes.
Proven experience in overseeing privacy impact assessments, integrating Privacy by Design, and integrating Privacy into existing and new business processes.
Direct experience working with Data Protection Authorities and handling complex Privacy issues.
Proven abilities in leading direct and virtual teams.
Proven ability in interacting with senior management and influencing change.
Proven ability in developing innovative ideas and solutions and anticipating future needs.
Job Description
The Company’s use of data, coupled with unprecedented growth and opportunity in advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital technology, is creating a need for continued innovation within our Global Privacy Office (GPO). Our ability to use data robustly, yet ensure responsible practices, is at the core of this role. Reporting directly to the Chief Privacy Officer, and serving as the Deputy Chief Privacy Officer, this role will manage a team of professionals ranging from Director to Specialist-level individuals, located globally.
Global Privacy Office is comprised of two teams. One team is the outward face of the Company Privacy program engaging with employees, stakeholders within the Company, and external regulators. The other team supports these activities with processes, tools, governance, and assurance. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the team conducting these outward facing activities working in close partnership with the back-office leader.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
