      Collaborates with divisional senior leadership to assist in developing the strategic direction of the business and address key marketing and communication challenges and opportunities. Leads a team of marketers who provide strategic marketing communication expertise to all departments within the division, focusing primarily on offering consultative marketing advice to the sales team to help achieve their stated goals and objectives through effective marketing strategies and tactics.

      KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

      • Create holistic marketing strategy that will further the deployment of SBB’s overall business strategy and achievement of SBB’s business goals.

      • Direct and align the strategic marketing communication efforts of the Marketing team to offer consultative advice regarding marketing activities and assuring consistent messaging for all customers/brokers as well as oversee the development of all marketing communications and promotional material ensuring adherence to brand/tone/style to deliver on agreed upon goals/objectives. Responsible for oversight of all external communications, including those from Operations.

      • Working in collaboration with corporate marketing, drive brand awareness that build relationships and enhance customer loyalty by developing active social communities from the ground up on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc. Includes development of all content-related marketing initiatives, managing any vendor relationships and developing expertise in-house.

      • Oversee and lead all large-scale sales-related events and trade shows, including contract management, serving as liaison with external event planning agencies, managing, and developing the entire program for all events, and crafting all promotional and POS materials needed for each event.

      • Working in collaboration with corporate marketing, drive thought leadership for the division through digital marketing strategy in cooperation with corporate marketing,

      • Lead proactive prospecting/educational broker campaigns, keeping Trustmark top-of-mind and demonstrating thought leadership.

      • Working in collaboration with corporate marketing, develop online advertising and PR efforts. Ensure company stays current with continually evolving advertising and PR best practices, which includes transitioning from traditional print advertising to online advertising; and PR efforts, including article placement in key industry/trade publications and crafting all pitch articles for use in these efforts

      • Lead development of standard sales support integrated marketing collateral to enhance sales efforts and foster understanding of our products and services.

      • Lead development of marketing materials related to new product rollouts and enhancements, including educational and promotional materials for all customers/brokers

      • Direct all internal communication-related activities, including ongoing content and article development and editorial review for internal websites, broad-based email communication to all associates.

      • Lead the SBB marketing team to include performance management and development of team members, overseeing the marketing budget and ensuring effective resource allocation, as allowed.

      Minimum Requirements

      • 10 or more years of marketing experience.

      • Ability to work effectively & collaboratively in a matrix reporting relationship.

      • Understanding of insurance products and market research principles and practice.

      • Effective project management, team leading and analytical skills.

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

      • Ability to work in an environment that requires organization and prioritization to address time-sensitive assignments.

      • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

      • Consultative approach to providing marketing communication expertise throughout all levels of the organization and customer ecosystem.

      • Understanding of social media and its ability to drive brand awareness/loyalty

      • Understanding of SEO/SEM principles

      • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels.

      • Experience building a digital strategy and online presence

      Preferred

      • In-depth insurance industry knowledge
