      DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is seeking Experience Veterinary Assistants (Level 3) to join our Emergency and Critical Care team.

      As a Veterinary Assistant Level 3 on the ECC team, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in the ER, ICU, and/or Urgent Care, as well as providing clients with a top-notch experience. On a daily basis, you will triage patients, calculate medical dosages, administer medications, run in-house lab work, place tubes and catheters, monitor and ensure patients' comfort, update clients on their pet's progress, and perform a variety of other tasks. This position requires solid technical skills.

      Wage:

      • $28-$32 hourly for unlicensed technicians/Veterinary Assistant Level 3
      • $28-$44 hourly for Certified Veterinary Technicians or Veterinary Technician Specialists (check our career page for available positions at this level)

      This position also qualifies for a 12% overnight and 10% weekend differential for applicable shifts.

      Schedule: ECC veterinary assistants typically work 3/4 rotating schedules with 10- or 12-hour shifts. This means you have a consistent schedule that makes planning the rest of your life easy, and you get 3 or 4 days off in a row every week!       • Minimum of two years working in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant with an emphasis on strong technical skills.
      • Preferred minimum of one year emergency or other specialty small animal care experience.
      • Highschool diploma or equivalent.

      Any suitable combination of experience or education may substitute for the above.
