      ROLE SUMMARY

      Provide support to the Commercial planning team through the coordination and production of analyses and reports on the tobacco marketplace. Implementation of the overall information strategy for BAT, receiving support from selected agencies as well as members of the Strategy, Planning, and Insights teams.

      Reports to: Area Information Manager

      Core Relationships: Core Relationships: Internal – GBS Area marketing info & planning team, Area planning team, End markets planning team, Finance team

      WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

      • Provide data analysis-driven insights to the Information Manager, to understand market sales performance, commercial performance, consumer behavior, perceptions, and needs to drive volume and value growth.
      • Monitoring & tracking of market performance to share insights on opportunities & risks, supporting management in decision-making.
      • Ensure the delivery of forward-looking consumer, customer, and competitor insights.
      • Develop and maintain a comprehensive competitive landscape analysis.
      • Support the Information Manager in delivering a consumer-centric perspective and up-to-date findings into given marketing activities.
      • Assist with information related to end-market performance.
      • Provide a long-term view of end-market opportunities and threats, ultimately contributing to regional strategy development.
      • Ensure accurate and timely reporting as per the company guidelines.
      • Engage confidently with key stakeholders in line with the guiding principles.
      • Ensure all relevant commercial & consumer insights are effectively integrated into the management information system.
      • Create good relations within the Planning team and cross-functional networking to develop effective and integrated insights.
      • Identify and propose improvement opportunities in current processes.

      ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

      • Experience Required
      • A maximum of 3-4 years of relevant work
      • Data analysis and interpretation
      • Able to bring both an analytical attitude and a creative problem-solving approach
      • Knowledge of data sources
      • Previous experience in marketing
      • Proficiency in speaking English
      • Accurate & timely reporting

      • Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
      • Ability to work with cross functions
      • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including proficiency in data analysis, modeling and forecasting
      • Experience with Power Bi

      • Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
      • Degree preferably in Statistics, Data Science, Business analytics or Marketing
