      Position Overview

      The External Affairs Specialist supports the External Affairs department, with an emphasis on CTRC, to ensure alignment with team goals and strategic initiatives. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Public Policy & Regulatory Affairs, this role is responsible for coordination and management of new and existing projects at OCHIN and CTRC, in partnership with project stakeholders and leadership. This position is responsible for working closely with OCHIN staff, CTRC staff, members, and partners to deliver outstanding results on behalf of the team.


      Base Pay Overview

      The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint ($70.214 -87,767) , with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.


      Essential Duties

      • Coordinate External Affairs and CTRC team projects, presentations, and research in partnership with and in support of the Vice President of Public Policy & Regulatory Affairs and other team members
      • Assist in coordinating and scheduling meetings and materials for team meetings and projects, as assigned
      • Support and coordinate grant-funded activities and projects
      • Provide ad hoc support to operational projects and meetings
      • Prepare written communication for External Affairs and CTRC leadership to support the engagement of stakeholders
      • Research, prepare, and edit various written collateral for the External Affairs and CTRC teams, including preparing monthly blog posts for CTRC
      • Research, identify, and incorporate best practices and improvement ideas in support of External Affairs and CTRC team projects and program activities
      • Embody OCHIN and CTRC’s culture of improvement by using tools and methodologies which enhance organizational priorities
      • Provide high-quality social media collateral to expand CTRC's audience and drive Impact
      • Assist in designing and delivering high-quality external affairs and CTRC's trainings, webinars, and events to internal and external audiences on topics including improvement science (e.g., Model for Improvement), using data to drive improvement, change management, artificial intelligence, digitual health, etc.
      • Use project management techniques to manage and track small-scale External Affairs and CTRC team projects
      • Assist with the coordination of Quality as a Business Strategy activities as needed
      • Maintain External Affairs and CTRC communication venues, such as the SharePoint and Teams channel
      • Other duties as assigned
