      We are looking for a supply chain professional to join our dynamic External Supply and Manufacturing (ESM) group that are responsible for ensuring the continuity of supply of new and established AstraZeneca brands.

      An exciting opportunity has arisen within our team for an External Supply Coordinator (ESC) based in either Wilmington DE US or Gaithersburg MD US.

      We are looking for a supply chain professional to join our dynamic External Supply and Manufacturing (ESM) group that are responsible for ensuring the continuity of supply of new and established AstraZeneca brands.

      As an ESM External Supply Coordinator, you will have the operational responsibility for supply from one or more suppliers and the associated customers. You will be comfortable working in a global, high-paced environment, with strong focus on cross-functional collaboration. The nature of the role requires the ability to be flexible and constantly prioritize and make assessments on where time is best spent. You have the authority to make operational decisions with suppliers/customers that ensure the timely supply of product, whilst maximizing efficiencies for the business.

      The key to success is communication and to build, maintain and develop customer relations.

      ESM offers professional development and the chance to work with other outstanding supply chain specialists.

      What you will do:

      • Operationally coordinate supply of products, in alignment with our customer’s demand and agreed stock levels, following the process for the agreed supply method.

      • Process customer orders, raising purchase orders to suppliers in line with contractual requirements and receipting stock on delivery from suppliers.

      • Act as the primary point of contact with suppliers/customers regarding demand, supplier’s ability to meet demand and day-to-day delivery plan.

      • Responsible for accurately measuring and reporting key performance indicators.

      • Lead and participate in Practical Problem Solving and Continuous Improvements teams.

      • Ensure to deliver consistency with the ESM supply management framework i.e. one way of working across the organization regardless of geographic location or portfolio.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • High School degree required with a minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain environment (Manufacturing, Planning)

      • Excellent communication and team working skills

      • Fluent in spoken and written English

      • Globally and culturally aware

      • Comfortable in defining new processes and seeking to continuously improve existing processes

      • Able to rapidly adapt to a constantly changing environment

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Degree in Business, Logistics, Sciences or Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain environment (Manufacturing, Planning)is preferred

      • Experience in participating in the S&OP process

      • Commercial experience is a plus

      • SAP ERP (MRP) knowledge

      • Other language skills are desired but not essential.
