This position supports the high tempo F-35 Support Equipment (SE) Operations & Sustainment Integrated Project Team (IPT) in a Fleet Manager capacity, as well as providing leadership to Equipment Managers supporting the same product line. In this role, the preferred candidate will be responsible to:
1. Meet LOB cost, schedule and quality requirements for Operation and Sustainment products and services to achieve mission success.
2. Ensure all GSE Initial Operational Capability requirements for scheduled sites are met
3. Ensure base/squadron activations achieved; Deliver logistics to the fleet; Ensure Support Equipment and Initial Operating Procedures are in place before First Aircraft Arrival
4. Lead Annual Supplier Summits with Ground Support Equipment Suppliers for multiple platforms
5. Support all Site-Stand Up reviews and Program Management Reviews by providing GSE status and supporting metrics
6. Advance sustainment affordability by leading/participating in structured Improvement Activities
7. Optimize LMs position as the F-35 PSI/PSP, and continue to cultivate relationship with F-35 Joint Program Office Leadership
8. Drive Affordable sustainment by analyzing SE failures on Mission Critical GSE Items to identify product improvements and identifying GSE subassembly part commonality
9. Support proposal efforts to F-35 Annualized Competition and F-35 hybrid Product Support Integration Capture
10. Support portfolio shaping and profitable business alignment in the market segments as required
11. Work as SE IPT’s primary POC to LM Aero’s Property Management Team
12. Evaluates and provides feedback for support equipment design/development effort; also assesses logistics impact of SE design and recommends level of repair and required support resources to include identifying spares (what to provision)
13. Be the SE IPT’s point person for bulk upload of SE inventory into LSEMS and for the weekly comparisons between the GSESS and LSEMS
14. Support as one of the primary LM POCs/coordinators for the annual SE List Review
In addition to these duties, the selected candidate will have a collateral duty as an L-Code manager, which entails certain manpower resource management activities including work assignments, performance assessments and talent management. Some U.S. and international travel may be required. • F-35 Ground Support Equipment experience
• Ground Support Equipment Site Activation and Facility requirements
• Flight line, depot, or overhaul organizational experience
• Ability to interpret and execute policies and procedures that typically affect aircraft maintenance activities
• Knowledgeable of Integrated Product Support elements and product support strategy development and execution
• Ability to analyze and evaluate Ground Support Equipment modification proposals for product support impacts
• Exhibit excellent training, communication, and presentation skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications and be able to provide weekly status reports, documents, and schedules
• Possess analytical Procedure and process development skills
• Ability to operate with minimum direction and supervision • LM Green Belt certified, Black Belt preferred
• Familiarity with CE and ATEX certification requirements
• Familiar with Lockheed Martin and RMS policy
• Military flight line-related maintenance background
• Working knowledge of F-35 Sustainment
• Knowledge of F-35 Ground Support Equipment
• Project management
• Proposal development skills
