      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Operate and learn to use fabrication machines such as lathe, mill, brake press, welder, and CNC equipment
      - Assist with machine maintenance, shop cleanliness, and inventory control
      - Participate in potential computer-aided design (CAD) projects
      - Ensure safety and proper use of equipment in the fabrication shop
      - Collaborate with faculty and staff to support research and project needs

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Must currently be enrolled as a UW-Madison student and be able to work through the Spring 2025 semester
      - Interest in fabrication processes
      - Must be an approved UW authorized driver or meet the criteria to become authorized
      - Dependable and punctual
      - Ability to lift 50 pounds and work primarily in an on-your-feet setting

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Fabrication skills (woodworking, metalworking, welding, construction)
      - Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
      - Attention to detail in all work performed
      - Prior experience in a fabrication or similar environment
