      HOURS: 11:00am - 7:30pm; Tuesday - Saturday

      In this role you will:

      Perform routine cleaning and custodial maintenance duties.

      • Perform a variety of routine cleaning and custodial maintenance duties in the Rye Brook facility

      • Vacuums and shampoos carpeted floors and runners

      • Sweeps, wet mops and dry mops tile, terrazzo and other floor types

      • Operates power floor maintenance equipment to strip, wax and buff floors.

      • Washes, dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture and woodwork

      • Repairs and shampoos furniture

      • Makes minor repairs to equipment

      • Cleans bathroom sinks, mirrors, urinals, toilets, showers, walls and floors

      • Collects, removes, and sorts garbage, makes bales or compacts trash and washes garbage cans

      • Cleans and maintain various fixtures and equipment

      • Removes snow, sweeps sidewalks and stairs, applies deicer as required.

      • Locks and unlocks doors, checks windows, turns out lights, raises and lowers flags, and serves as a watch against vandalism.

      • Maintain ground to ensure they are clean and in safe condition

      • Maintain buildings and equipment repairs

      • Orders supplies, maintains records and prepares reports as directed

      • Recycle chemicals using appropriate machinery

      • Dispose of hazardous waste including transfer of waster from 5 gallon drums to 55 gallon drums

      • Label hazardous waste containers as appropriate

      • Transfer clean chemicals from holding area to pump station

      • Adhere to practices and regulations governing biosafety and security in the workplace.

      • Follow safe laboratory practices and guidelines at all times.

      • Perform other related duties as directed.

      • At times, overtime, on call or altered scheduling may be required.

      • Routine work encompasses working with chemical/biohazardous material. All safety policies and practices are to be followed and are a condition of employment

      All you need is:

      • High School diploma or equivalent required.

      • Experience in OSHA compliance, hazardous waste management and inventory control in a manufacturing environment.

      Salary Range: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
